Challenge:
- Install roof with minimal impact on tenants due to the editorial department's need to work throughout the day and into the evenings.
- Time constraints - PRI began working during the week, but was shut down due to editorial department's need for silence.
- Limited access
- Complete tear off couldn't be performed due to editorial department's noise constraints.
Solution:
- Installed low impact, lightweight, fluid applied, odorless roof system that was least invasive on tenants.
- To minimize impact on tenants, PRI began work at 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends under lights and ended work at 7 a.m. the following mornings. Vacuuming of rooftop gravel was done between 3 and 6 am.
Success:
- Installed a new, watertight, reflective roof in just eleven weekend days.
- Upon completion of the project, Larry Benanti of the San Jose Mercury News raved, "Platinum Roofing performed one of the best roofing projects I have worked on."
